Hey, there's even a book , that is similar but for ebay-shopping. Yesterday I learned in the Bi-Lo supermarket something important, after shopping there for ten months, once a week food. Do you know those offers signs, which are sometimes hang lower than the regular prices, such as '2 / 3 $ '(buy 2 for 3 dollars) or' Buy 1 + 1 free '(buy one and get one for free as well)? Until yesterday, we went regularly with 4 cans of tomato paste (4 / $ 1) or 2 bottles of olive oil (+ Buy 1 Get 1 free) home, we have got the offer ... and therefore properly fell for a common sales strategy. Even if it is so nice to his "free" product to take effect. You have (at least in our Bilo store) do not buy as much as on the sign is to get the advertised discount on that product. The course you learn only if you ask directly and / or when you are accompanied by an experienced person shopping. Please come to me now not: "As everyone knows, the fun." : D
of postscript: A friend told me that the above is not always the case and that way of offers vary from business to business. Sometimes you get the discount, sometimes not. It therefore makes sense to ask more. Thanks for the note:)
Look, there is even a book but for ebay shopping. Anyway, yesterday I learned something essential at our local Bi-Lo supermarket after we've been shopping groceries there for ten months at least one time a week. Do you know the discount signs under the regular price tag for instance '2/3$' or 'Buy 1 + 1 free'? I bet you know. Till yesterday we went home with 4 cans tomato paste or two bottles olive oil on a regular basis. We were quite happy because of the deals ... without the knowledge that we had been trapped by a sales strategy. However, it is so nice to reach for your free bottle of something, isn't it? We didn't know that you don't have to buy a certain amount of a product to get the discount that is plugged under the regular price tags (at least at the store we shopped). Needless to say that you get this information only if you ask for directly or if you are in company with a shopping experienced person. Please don't tell me: 'Really? Everybody knows this' :D
A little hint I recieved from a friend says that sometimes you get the discount on one item and sometimes not. There can be different prices if you buy just one instead of x. It depends on the place/wording. So it's always good to check. Thank you :)
